Ok, so recently I just built a new PC and moved over my two Seagate Barracuda 1TB drives into it. Not even a few hours after running, one of the seagates starts making a clicking sound and whatnot, I checked the SMART information for the drive using CrystalDiskInfo and it said that it had a very high amount of reallocated sectors. Ok, so I disconnected that one. A few days later my other Seagate 1TB started giving me issues.. What the hell’s going on? To top it off.. A family member’s hard drive is also having issues, and yup its a Seagate. I have not had any issues with my Seagate drives since I have had them.. but lately this is just getting ridiculous, I think I will stick with Western Digital from now on, got two WD Caviar Black HDs with my new build and they are great. Not to mention my old 250GB WD drive that was once an external, then an internal, and now another external is still working just fine.
